Synopsis:
This position is responsible for the following duties:
- Conducts inspections related to licensing of EMS providers as related to state regulations.
- Determines the continuation or cessation of an EMS providers’ services.
- Provides technical and consultative assistance to local agencies, officials, and personnel related to the development and improvement of EMS operations and the licensing of EMS providers.
- Assesses the availability and quality of continuing education and training programs in assigned region.
- Assists in the planning and implementation of training required for EMS personnel.
- Provides technical assistance to eligible candidates for the state grant fund program.
- Attends district and regional meetings as required.
- Serves as liaison between EMS providers and the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services (KBEMS).
- Carries out directives of KBEMS.
- Performs other administrative duties as necessary.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Professional experience in emergency medical services operations
- Experience in conducting inspections
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented
- Knowledge of Emergency Medical Service statute and regulation.
